چکیده

QCD sum rules for vector mesons (ρ, ω, φ) in nuclear matter are reexamined with an emphasis on the reliability of various sum rules. Monitoring the continuum contribution and the convergence of the operator product expansion plays crucial role in determining the validity of a sum rule. The uncertainties arising from less than precise knowledge of the condensate values and other input parameters are analyzed via a Monte-Carlo error analysis. Our analysis leaves no doubt that vector-meson masses decrease with increasing density. This resolves the current debate over the behavior of the vector-meson masses and the sum rules to be used in extracting vector meson properties in nuclear matter. We find a ratio of ρ-meson masses of mρ∗/mρ = 0.78±0.08 at nuclear matter saturation density. QCD sum rule analysis for light vector and axial - vector mesons in vacuum and nuclear matter ∗ Stefan Leupold

Extending previous work we study the constraints of QCD sum rules on mass and width of light vector and axial-vector mesons in vacuum and in a medium with finite nuclear density. For the latter case especially the effect of nuclear pions leading to vector–axial-vector mixing is included in the analysis. PACS numbers: 14.40.Cs, 21.65.+f, 11.30.Rd, 24.85.+p

Hadrons in Dense Matter

Physical reason behind the mass-shift of vector mesons (ρ, ω, φ) in nuclear matter is discussed in the Walecka model and in QCD sum rules. Using analytic formulas for the mass-shift valid at low densities, it is shown that the energy dependent part of the self-energy in medium (wave function renormalization) is a main source for the negative massshift, while the energy independent part (the pla...

Light Vector Mesons in Nuclear Matter

We summarize the current theoretical and experimental status of the spectral changes of vector mesons (ρ, ω, φ) in nuclear medium. Various approaches including QCD sum rules, effective theory of hadrons and bag models show decreasing of the vector meson masses in nuclear matter. Possibility to detect the mass shift through lepton pairs in γ −A, p−A and A−A reactions are also discussed. Invited ...

Rho Meson Properties in Nuclear Matter from Qcd Sum Rules∗

We study the properties of rho mesons in nuclear matter by means of QCD sum rules at finite density. For increased sensitivity, we subtract out the vacuum contributions. With the spectral function as estimated in the literature, these subtracted sum rules are found to be not well satisfied. We suppose that Landau singularities from higher resonance states in the nearby region in this channel ar...

On Qcd Sum Rules for Vector Mesons in Nuclear Medium *

Vector mesons show up in the electromagnetic current-current correlator. QCD sum rules provide a constraint on hadronic models for this correlator. This constraint is discussed for the case of finite nuclear density concerning the longitudinal as well as the transverse part of the current-current correlator at finite three-momentum.
